The Shanghai Association for International Exchange of Personnel was established 13 years ago. Many former and current Shanghai Mayors and Secretaries of Shanghai Committee of Chinese Communist Party have served and/or are serving as Chairman or honorable Chairman of the Association. This includes Mr. Jiang Zeming, now the President of China, Mr. Huang Ju, former Secretary of Shanghai Committee of Chinese Communist Party, and Mr. Xu Kuangdi, ex Shanghai mayor and now President of Chinese Engineering Academy. Having become a member of the WTO, China is embracing the competitive world! Human resources are always the core of every kind of competition, and Shanghai is set to take the leadership role in this regard. One of the important roles of the Association is to promote Shanghai so that more and more people, with a Chinese origin or not, get to understand more about Shanghai, The goal is to turn Shanghai into a city able to attract and retain various talents to work in Shanghai or contribute to Shanghai's growth! The US is the most developed country in the world. It has at the same time the highest population of top talents originally from all over the world. The Silicon Valley is the area with the most populated IT and other high tech industries, and also many gifted talents.
